Heavy Load on DB when Forum Online
Quote from arcadepunk on April 23, 2020, 12:13 amHey guys, have had problems for a while now with the website being slow, my hosts tell me the database is running at very high percent, sometimes hitting 100% , when i disable the forum the db load idles at around 30-40% (its a large site lots of users and hits).
I have had to turn it off again tonight, because once again the site was taking AGES to load and crashing when trying to add posts (to worpdress posts) bascially making it unusable…
Is there someone who can take a look for me , or tell me what you need to check out what it is, as soon as I disable the forum the site goes back to normal within minutes, I have been running the forum for quite a while, this has really started happening since around Christmas, maybe before.
Thanks in advance

I suggest you to install the Query Monitor plugin for WordPress:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/
Afterwards you can enable the forum and in the admin-bar a new area should pop-up which shows you slow database-queries. If you can provide me more information about those queries, then this would be helpful to find possible bottlenecks in the code.
