Have I found a small bug??
Quote from ray on February 4, 2022, 9:51 amForum description field.
I use basic html to ‘format’ my forum descriptions.
On the admin interface they look like this example.
Membership Activities (ID: 3)
Things we do for ourselves eg Bus outings, breakfasts, fund raising.
DON’T FORGET to
1) Book access to a shed workshop/room in the calendar to avoid conflicts in accessibility.
2) Submit a story about your activity for publicationOn the web page it looks like this
Things we do for ourselves eg Bus outings, breakfasts, fund raising.<br><b>DON’T FORGET to</b><br>1) <b>Book access</b> to a shed workshop/room in the calendar to avoid conflicts in accessibility.<br>2) Submit a story about your activity for publication
ie <br><b> are being ignored and displayed as text.
It used to work just fine (like the admin interface above) but has changed after one of the recent updates. I am running Version 2.0.0
Also if I edit such an existing description this html is stripped out of the description and cannot be reinserted.

I got kind of forced by the WordPress plugin-team to remove all possibilities which allows the injection of HTML. I will see if there is a way to bring this back in a future update.

I tried but there is currently no way to add this option again. I got repeated warnings from the WordPress security team and keeping such a logic within the code would result in getting removed from the plugin repository.
