The problem is that in the second picture it is impossible to connect the gravatar,in order to change the picture. Tell me what’s the problem?

Hello @forexmyprosperity

The gravatar-functionality is a core-component of WordPress. Maybe its a bug or the mail-address of the user is not connected to gravatar. I suggest you to ask in the official WordPress support-forum. Maybe they have an idea whats going on.

The user is connected to the gravatar. See the picture from the user’s personal account from WordPress.

Also, Word Press displays the gravatar. Forum does not display gravatar

Hello @forexmyprosperity

This is very strange because I dont make any changes to avatars in the Asgaros Forum. For displaying avatars inside the plugin I call the get_avatar() function which is provided by WordPress itself. It is exactly the same function which is used in all other areas of WordPress as well (the ones you have shown for example).

In the official API-documentation it says:

“This function is pluggable and so can be overridden by plugins and themes. The default functionality cannot be relied upon in these cases.”

Do you use any other WordPress-extensions which add/modify avatars in some way (for example profile or community managent extensions)?

no additional extensions

Can you leave a link to the relevant topic which contains the non-showing gravatar so I can have a look?

see the last post. User’s gravatar is not displayed. the rest of the gravatars are ok.

Seems your gravatar-avatars are not directly accessed via the gravatar-servers, but from the wp.com-servers instead. The one you mentioned has the following file on the server:

http://i1.wp.com/forexmyprosperity.com/wp-content/uploads/gravatar/051c2b56da8626fdef72535f4371c129-s80.jpg?resize=80%2C80

Do you use JetPack? Can you check if it works fine when disabling it? If so, please have a look at the JetPack-settings for avatars/gravatar.

I dont know why WordPress returns me this location. I dont have any influence on this and the Asgaros Forum plugin can only work with the file which is returned by the official WordPress API-function – and in your case it is the avatar-link above.
