Hi, thank you for a great plugin! I’ve a question that I can’t see the answer to in the documentation or support forums but apologies if this is documented elsewhere.

My understanding is that forum users have the subscriber role in the WordPress site, meaning that they can log into the site via /wp-admin and see the dashboard, although this dashboard is limited due their role. I’m looking to implement a private forum on a regular WordPress site and want to essentially restrict any author access to only the forum page.

Can this be done with this plugin?

My thinking so far is that I’d specify a separate login page (away from the WP dashboard) then set the forum page to private and set permissions so that subscribers could see this page when logged in. If I can, I’d have a single page with the forums and show the forums if the user is logged in, and if they’re not, show a login box on this page, then hide the login box when the user is logged in. Sound OK, or is there a better way of doing it.
