Forum not visible to logged out users (have tried the suggested solutions)

I am having trouble getting the forum to show to logged-out users and just get the message “You must be logged in to view this content.”

I have tried everything suggested in the other posts and can confirm:

General: Hide Forum from logged out users is unchecked – screenshot attached.
Features: Allow guest postings is unchecked – screenshot attached.
Structure: The first category is set to Everyone – screenshot attached.
I am not using any caching plugins. I have tried forced refresh and left the issue for several days.

Nevermind, I can confirm that the one thing I didn’t check (conflicting plugins) was responsible.

I had a plugin with a content restriction filter that was preventing the forum from showing as expected. Disabling that option means that everything is now working exactly as expected.
