Forum isn't posting messages on IE

Hey there,

I’ve used your wonderfull plugin to build a forum dashboard. And it works like a champ. Only when i’m logged in, in IE I can not create a new topic or leave a message in an already existing one..

Already tried switching on/off caching plugin etc. But nothing makes a difference.

Hey @maaike,

can you specify your problems a little bit. What is the version of IE that you are using? What exactly happens? Are you able to enter your message and click the submit button?

Please also check the console for java script errors, while trying to submit the message. To enter the console just press F12 and post the errors that appear there.

Hey qualmy,

Thanks for you answer.. looking at my message i’ve been a bit vague indeed.

So i’m using/testing the forum in IE version 11
I am able to enter/type my message and click on the submit button.
The console isn’t giving me any errors.

I’ve made a screenshot of the message i’m getting after i’ve clicked on the save/submit button.

Hey @maaike,

I tested it right now to write a post on IE 11 in this forum and it worked well. It could be that there is another plugin that interferes with Asgaros Forum or tinyMCE (the editor).

But you should probably not worry too much about IE 11 since the market share is only 0.4 % at the moment and it will be not supported anymore by WordPress in the future. There also already some plugins that doesn’t support IE 11 and even Microsoft stopped the support.

If you still want to get it running you could try to use the troubleshooting plugin from WordPress and deactivate the other plugins temporarily for the admin user to check if the problem is gone.

Thanks for your answer!! I’ve tried the troubleshooting plugin and it didn’t make any difference.. but after changing the user-role from user to administrator it started working.
