dedicated registration form for selected user group (after site registration)
Quote from brettw on April 12, 2020, 3:46 amI understand being able to set ‘Add new users automatically’ functionality however this is linked to the overall site registration.
I’m looking for a way I can create a separate registration form after a user has registered that links to a selected user group?
ie selling A, B & C online courses. User buys course A – at checkout they create a user profile, this links to general forum access (set as add new users automatically) however when they log into their student portal they are met with a separate ‘Forum group registration form’ which is linked to course A discuss threads on the forum, once they complete this it gives them access to this forum section also.
I’ve very basic coding knowledge so trying to find a simple solution.
My understanding is the “Custom Register URL” in the forum settings links back to the first part of this and can only be used for a main site registration form not an individual one.
Thank you in advanced.

Currently this is not possible by default and I am also not aware on how to set-up this easily without developing a custom-implementation. This requires bigger changes to the way on how user-registration and forum-usergroups are getting connected from a logical point of view.
