Closed Forum still allows users to reply

I have 3 forums. I have one for Forum Guidelines and don’t want anyone to reply. I have closed the forum in Structure, but users are able to reply to topics in the forum. I realise they can’t add new topics, but can I stop people from replying to a closed forum? Can I make the topic closed?

Update- I finally found the close button for a topic (right next to the Reply button). Now, non-admins (basic users) can’t reply to the topic.

I find the plugin to be very good and now that I have figured this small detail out, even better 🙂 Hopefully, this info helps someone else.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s awesome that you found the close button for topics. That’s a really handy feature to have, especially for keeping things organized in your forums.
