Can't quote a message with a smile in it

When I try to quote a message containing smiles: 🙂 – it seems to work fine, but no new message created after submitting.

Thank you for the quick reply.

As I have no idea, how to implement this sample codes on my database, will it be enough to

phpMyAdmin – wp_forum_posts – Structure – text – Edit – utf_general_ci -> utfmb4_general_ci ?

To set it to a value like utf8mb4_unicode_ci via phpMyAdmin should be a first step.
