Breadcrumb not working as intended
Quote from Burt on July 21, 2020, 3:13 amHi Thomas
I just realised that the breadcrumbs is not really working as intended.
Let say you have a Forum and under that you have several sub forum (you call them category) and under that more subforums..
Problem is that when you enter a subforum inside a category, you can’t go back to that category by using breadcrumb. It only allows you to go back to the main page where all the category are listed.
If you look at the breadcrumb it also uses the column after display the “category”..
Bingo > Game Night : This week > Games Availavble
I don’t think you should have a column in a breadcrumb. So at the moment, if you click on Game Night or This week it makes no difference, where there should be a difference as they are two different recipients.. The only way to see the other subforum under Game night is to click on Bingo first then re-enter Game Night again to see the other subforum available under Game Night…
An unnecessary extra step to go back just one level or one page..
Currently, the second level is not working It just reload the third level..
I hope I made sense..
Regards
Burt

Actually there is – and there never was – a separate view to show forums of a specific category only. So yeah, it is true that there is no way to go navigate inside a specific category only. What is currenty possible to show the content of a specifc forum or of a specific sub-forum only. I will check if I can add an own view for categories in a later update.

Hello, I really need this feature of a separate category page because without it, it makes it really difficult to navigate. please add this feature ASAP 🙂 Also I feel there is no need in the breadcrumb to have the post link appended to the end of the breadcrumb, just the forum categories should be only in the breadcrumbs.
I really like the style and feel of this forum though, reminds me a bit of vBulletin that I’m used to, a little old school 🙂
Thanks for reading and considering these changes.
