Ask approval for response

Hi everyone,

I’m loving this forum, it’s easy to use and has lot of features I love! And it’s free!

One thing I couldn’t find however is the possibility to force users who reply to a topic, to get approval for their response. There is a flag to activate this option for the new topics, but is there an option to activate this also for the replies to already existing topics?

@giovanni, I think the “flag” you mention is Forum > Settings > General > Approval needed for new topics from:

There is also a per-forum option under Forum > Structure > Edit Forum. There, under Status, you can choose Approval. That should require approval for all posts, topics and replies.

However, I just tested it and new topic and reply by a normal user did not require approval for me. Maybe something is messed up on my end. Please test that and report back if it works for you.

thanks for the response. Actually, this is not working for me either. I mean, for the new topics is working, but not for the replies. Don’t know what else I can do to fix this

Well, it sounds like it might be a regression bug then. Maybe @asgaros can have a look when he has time.

Its not a regression. Currently approval only works for new topics.
