Asgaros Forum v1.9.0: SEO-friendly URLs & Enhancements
Quote from Asgaros on May 17, 2018, 9:32 pmI am happy to announce version 1.9.0 of the Asgaros Forum plugin for WordPress. This release comes with a couple of enhancements and finally introduces SEO-friendly URLs.
SEO-friendly URLs
Asgaros Forum now uses SEO-friendly URLs by default. This feature can be disabled in the settings. I put a lot of effort into backward-compatibility to ensure that old links are still working throughout the forum and that search-engines automatically get redirected to the new URLs.
Disable Mentioning Notifications
Its now possible for each user to disable notifications they would receive when they get mentioned inside a post. This option is available in their default WordPress profiles.
Automatically add new users to usergroups
A new option in the usergroups management allows you to add new users automatically to specific usergroups after their registration.
Mobile Theme Improvements
A couple of improvements to the mobile design ensures that now also information about the last post is shown. Furthermore a small amount of display issues have been fixed to ensure a better mobile experience.
Other Changes
- The activities inside the activity feed are now grouped by time
- Fixed a couple of display issues with some themes
- Minor design improvements and simplifications in the administration area
- Minor design changes in the frontend
- Performance Improvements and Code Optimizations
Version 1.9.0 of the Asgaros Forum plugin for WordPress will be available in the next 24 hours via the WordPress Updater!
