Asgaros Forum v1.8.4: Activity Feed & Improvements
Version 1.8.4 of the Asgaros Forum plugin for WordPress is a maintenance release which comes with a new activity feed and more improvements.
Activity Feed
The new activity feed is an optional feature which is disabled by default. While activated, it adds a new entry to the main-navigation showing you a list with the most recent topics and posts created inside your forums. Check out a demo here.
Usergroups Improvements
Assigned usergroups are now shown inside the posts of an user. The defined usergroup color is used throughout the forum as well to give different usergroups an individual touch. A new option in the usergroups management allows you to hide specific usergroups from the public so that they are neither shown inside posts nor profiles.
Time Limitation for post editing
A new option allows you to set a time-limitation in minutes for editing posts. After this limit users are not able to edit their posts anymore. Please note that administrators and moderators can always edit posts.
Additional Changes
- Improve the descriptions in the subscriptions overview to make it more intuitive
- Minor design changes
- Performance improvements and code optimizations. Huge speed gains and significant query-reducements in the members list.
- Improve the compatibility when the Autoptimize plugin is used. This fix a couple of editor-related bugs.
