Asgaros Forum v1.5.0/1.5.1: User Groups & More

The brand new version 1.5.0 of the Asgaros Forum plugin for WordPress comes with a user group functionality and a lot of enhancements.

User Groups

It is now possible to create user groups for your forum in the administration area of WordPress.

User Groups Overview

Custom user groups can be assigned to categories in the structure-area so that only users of the selected user groups will have access to those categories.

Set user group

Administrators can assign and remove users from user groups via the profile of a user or bulk actions which are available in the WordPress user list. It is also possible to filter the user list to show users of a certain user group only.

Statistic Enhancements

The statistic area in the overview of your forum got some enhancements. The newest member of your community is now shown as well as the names of the currently logged-in users.

The name of the user who edited a post is now shown below an edited post.

Added asgarosforum_custom_topic_column hook
Dont remove paragraphs from quotes
Some strings could not get translated
Show possible error messages when updating the structure

Version 1.5.0 of the Asgaros Forum will be available in the next 48 hours via the WordPress Updater!

Update: A fast 1.5.1 update fixes a fatal PHP error on some versions of PHP.

Hello great work.

But when i click on “add a group user” on interface admin forum, nothing is happening

No more button in party forum in fact :/

edit:

The problem may not be from the last version finally, having handed the old version nothing the buttons does not work either, the problem come either from the wordpress maj or I do not know

Hello kwiz,

please ensure that you have JavaScript enabled in your browser. As far as I can see, you are not using the default WordPress Administration Theme. I assume that your admin-theme is producing some JavaScript-errors or makes modifications which prevent the forum-administration from working. Can you please check this by switching back to the default admin-theme?

My javascript version is enabled and it does not seem to come from the admin theme.

My only bug in console when i click on forum :

Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
at admin.php?page=asgarosforum-usergroups:103

Yeah, I am using jQuery inside my JavaScript code which is included in WordPress core. But it seems to be not available at your site, so I guess that it gets blocked by “something” – like a theme or plugin. Have you tried to disable all other plugins and change themes to check this?
