Asgaros Forum v1.13.3: Maintenance Release
Quote from Asgaros on March 3, 2019, 6:11 pmI am happy to announce version 1.13.3 of the Asgaros Forum plugin for WordPress which comes with a couple of improvements.
Disable Avatars
A new option has been added to the settings which allows you to disable avatars completely inside of your forum. An option for this was already available before by switching avatars on/off globally in your general WordPress settings. However, this new option gives you more control over your website:
- You can now turn on avatars for your forum without turning them on globally for your complete website
- You can also turn off avatars for your forum while you still can use avatars in other places of your website
Hint: If you disabled avatars in your general WordPress settings before, you have to disable them now again in Forum -> Settings after applying the update. By default avatars are enabled.
Show Received Likes In Profiles
User profiles now show the amount of likes an user received for his posts. The amount of likes will only be shown when the reaction-functionality is enabled. Dislikes will be not shown in profiles to ensure that your community stays positive. 😉
Reassign Posts When Deleting Users
It is now possible to reassign forum-posts when you delete one or more users via the WordPress-backend. During the deletion-process you can decide if and to which user the forum-posts of the deleted user(s) will be assigned to. If you decide to not reassign forum-posts when you delete one or more users, the post-author will be shown as before as a Deleted User.
Design Changes
A couple of small design-changes have been applied to improve the overall look and feel. The member activity in profiles are now shown in a more handy way.
The last-post area has also been updated with a more clean and community-focused design. Icons and unnecessary text got removed and avatars for the authors have been added.
Other Changes?
As always: Performance improvements and code optimizations to make your favorite forum-plugin for WordPress more fast and stable!
Version 1.13.3 of Asgaros Forum will be available in the next 48 hours via the WordPress Updater!
