Any way to paste images directly? (The Paste)
Quote from Christine on March 14, 2024, 12:17 amHello,
1) I just realized my screenshot didn’t post because I exceeded the 5 mb limit for files. Is there a way to increase the limit? Or add an error message? Took me the longest time to figure out why I got a 503 Server error in my forum.
2) I have The Paste plugin installed, but it doesn’t work in the forum. So I save screenshots and then upload the files.
Is there any way to get The Paste or another plugin to work in the forum to paste images directly?
Would be a HUGE time saver for me!
Thanks!

Go to the Backend/Forum/Settings/Uploads
With Maximum File Size: Entries how large it should be.
If you enter “0”, you have taken out the limit. As far as I know, uploading images/files or screenshots directly doesn’t work.
To do this, you have to have the image on your computer beforehand, as using the clipboard doesn’t work.

And now I noticed that the post with the reduced image so it would upload also gets me a 503 error. It’s so weird, because my client was able to read it and it worked for me yesterday too.

The HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) 503 Service Unavailable server error response code indicates that the server is not ready to handle the request. Common causes are a server that is down for maintenance or that is overloaded.
