Allow image uploads

Hi,

How can I allow people to upload an image and add it to the Media library? Currently when I click the ‘Insert Image’ button, it only allows me to specify a URL but not to upload an image.

The ‘Allow File Uploads’ allows me to upload files/images separately (at the end of the post). But I want to be able to embed images inline within the post body. Currently that can only be done via a URL.

Hello gatul,

its not possible to upload images in the Media Library now because WordPress prevents users without account from uploading files. That means I would have to implement two upload-logics (one for users with accounts and one for guest-postings). I dont plan to do this at the moment.

I only allow registered users to post to the forum.

If I had to add this functionality myself, how would I go about it?
