All users have the same avatar
Quote from SlipScream on February 20, 2019, 3:55 pmI have a strange issue right now.
No matter the avatar of a poster, when they post, it is MY profile pic that gets used. I am totally lost on this one and I hope someone can help. Please see the screen cap. In the example I am in the member list but this happens with posting as well.

It is possible that this issue is caused by the component which you use for managing your avatars. If its a certain extension, please check its settings or try to deactivate to figure out if it fixes this problem.
As you see here (in this forum) this is not a normal bug inside of the forum.

Very possible – So I have disabled everything and it still is present as an issue. 🙁

Quote from Asgaros on February 20, 2019, 9:24 pm@slipscream Can you check if this theme has some kind of settings regarding avatars? If not I would recommend you to contact the developers of the theme so they can try to fix this issue. Asgaros Forum just uses the avatar which is provided be the get_avatar() function of WordPress. It seems that the theme is modifying something there.

I would love to but at this point I am edging closer to just dropping the theme all together. It really annoys me when a theme is SO customized that you can’t tweak a thing without a headache.

Yes, this is really a problem recently. A lot of themes come with built-in seo-optimization, avatars, profiles, etc. I think a theme should be just a theme. If further functionality is required, it should be offered separately as an addon. So many plugins/themes modify things which are “out-of-content” which makes it very hard for other developers and the site-owner because its very easy to lose control about specific functionality.
