Adding Widgets (Recent Posts & Topics) to template

Hi. Great Plugin!

I am setting up a page template and would like to include some recent posts and topics on it, but there is no shortcode for the widgets as far as I know, and I am not familiar with hooks and filters.

Is there a simple way to add this function to a template?

As far as I know the following plugin allows you to embed widgets via shortcodes:

Widget Shortcode

You can give it a try, maybe it will be usefull for you. 🙂

Thanks, First I will try for a solution without using an additional plugin, then all else fails I can add a widget or use this plugin:)
