404 not found
Quote from sozdizim on December 5, 2018, 7:45 pmHi,
I’ve just installed Asgaros Forum plugin, I checked the community page and it showed me an error.
I tried another forum plugin and had the same problem.
My wordpress is in my “addon domain’s folder”, I mean I have another website which is bought first. Then I created an addon domain on Cpanel for my second website so I can use same hosting for my second website. I guess I have my 404 problem because of that. In other words, wordpress is not installed in public.html folder, it’s in public.html/sozdizim.com/ folder.
Maybe it is not about that but I just said it because it could be.
I also checked on Filezilla, there is no “community” folder and I guess there should be it. For example, there is no folder like that public.html/sozdizim.com(my wordpress is here)/community
What can we do ?
The pluggin is installed as a plugin correctly, I see it on wordpress admin panel. However, I guess the plugin can not create, write anything. at least it should have created a community folder right ? There should be a something blocks it to create any file on my ftp server. Btw, ı am super amateur for website things, so all my words could be so meaningless.
I am trying to create a website for my university project, and also it will be used for scientific works so it is so important for me. Please, help me to fix the problem. I really would like to have an forum in my website. Thanks.
And I just remember one more thing. I moved my wordpress folder, from subdomain to my addon domain. it were here: blog.sozdizim.com and moved to : sozdizim.com.
I moved the folders from one to another and changed the website address on wordpress admin panel. So, here is another meaningless theory. Maybe there is still some settings thinking wordpress is still in blog.sozdizim.com, maybe?

It should not matter where your installation of WordPress is located. A community-folder is also not needed to work correctly because the URL-logic is handled by WordPress internally.
Please try the following things first:
- Disable all installed WordPress caching-plugins
- Go to Settings -> Permalinks and click on Save Settings
- Go to your homepage and try to navigate to your forum-page again
If this problem still persists disable SEO-friendly URLs in Forum -> Settings and check it again.
After that please give me feedback if one of those solutions were helpful.
