So I created category 1 and 2. Is there any way to create a 2 different forum on a different subpage?

Quote from Burt on November 6, 2019, 12:35 amI’m not sure what a subpage is, but you can have 100 different forums on a single website…
The easiest way with Asgaros is to assign each user to a particular usergroup and make that usergroup invisible (hidden).
That way each user that logs in, can only see his/her forums assigned to them by the usergroup.
If for forums you actually mean to have two completely different forum address, for what ever reason you may have, it is a bit more complicated
Hope it make sense…

/Forum2Well, with the system mentioned above you would easily achieve that
Say user 1 belong to usergroup Bingo.
In the forum PAGE, I have two forums. Forum 1 and forum 2.
Forum 1 is only for usergroup Bingo and hidden.
Forum 2 is for usergroup Latex and hidden
When user 1 logs in he can only see Forum 1 as he doesn’t belong to the usergroup Latex.
That’s how normally you can have 100 forums and if you login, you get to see only the ones that I allow you to see.
Unless you need the forum to have a completely different IP address, you don’t need anything else..
The idea is to keep all the users in one pot and just divide them by usergroup. To each user, the forum will look completely different.
If I logged in into your forum and I don’t belong to either groups, I wouldn’t see anything
Most forum’s software work this way..
Now, if for different you mean different look about the graphics, colours or position of module in the actual page, then this solution is not for you. But if for different you mean different forums available to different users, then the above is the way to do it..

An additional way to show different forums/categories on different pages is to use shortcode-parameters. You can find more details about it here:

Yes, but even if using shortcodes, if a category is hidden from a user, putting the shortcode in another page of such category, won’t make any difference. The category should remain Hidden from such user..
In my 30 years of BBSing and forums (phpBB, MyBB, Vbulletin and what I believe is still the most powerful out there, SMF), I found that webmaster that tend to create more than one page of forums on the same IP, instead of using usergroups is simply because they don’t truly understand how a forum software does work, and tend to complicate things for the actual users.
That is off course, in my opinion.
