I cant find the toolbar toggle on the tools bar on my forum when I want to type

please disable “Use minimalistic editor” in the settings and it should be available.

@Uche, I use the MathJax wordpress plugin which allows to post LaTex code between the [latex] shortcode. Works ok!

Please can you be specific about where this option is.

I cannot find it in the Forum settings area.

This setting does not exist anymore. But ensure that the “Allow shortcodes in posts” option is enabled in Forum -> Settings -> General.

I have done so, however, the curly braces {…} do not appear on the tool bar.

The default user add in Wordpress was set to Subsriber!

At this level the curly braces {…} do not appear.

Set the default to Contributor.

Got it working!
